I have finished my last theory course in the Master's degree program as of last week. Now all that is left is my culminating experience, which is an internship lasting about 16 weeks. I am now on a short leave so that I can get my internship stuff in line. I had secured my last internship, but apparently the clinical supervisor retired shortly before I was expected to begin. As frustrating as this has been, it is finally moving forward. I was able to land another internship placement in a family preservation court program. A family preservation program is a court-mandated treatment for substance using parents. It permits them to keep their children, provided that the parents comply with all aspects of their treatment. This kind of program is a step-up in treatment level from the Mom's Perinatal Program, my previous internship site. I completed my time with the Mom's program last Nov. They gave me a little party and wished me well.
Now that I'm finished with all the coursework, I will be able to resume law studies and plan my enrollment with UoL LLB Program.
